A proper overhaul for websites that no longer feel like you.
Maybe your website was a first attempt, or someone you love built it for you. Maybe your business has changed and the site hasn’t caught up. Overhauling existing websites is a big part of my work, and it’s one of my favourite things to do.
I work on Wix, Webador and WordPress sites, and I’ll consider other platforms too, so tell me what you’ve got.
What a redesign can look like
Every site is different, so I look at what you have and what it needs. That might mean:
Reworking the structure so visitors can find things
Rewriting the wording so it sounds like you
Updating the look so it reflects who you are now
Adding events, new offerings or a shop
Starting again if that’s genuinely the better answer
Staying put or moving platform?
It depends. Sometimes your site is best left where it is and given a proper overhaul. Sometimes moving it to Squarespace makes life easier, and I’ll tell you honestly which I think suits you.
Websites I’ve overhauled

Philip Woodford (Webador): a big overhaul, with an organic, authentic tone for his coaching and yoga business.
Emma Dance (Wix): a big overhaul to share information about her 5Rhythms work.
Lighting Up Love (Squarespace): a refresh, with events and new offerings added.
How much does it cost?
I work by the hour at £33.33 per hour. Redesigns vary so much that this is the fairest way to do it: you pay for the time your site needs. When we talk, I’ll help you work out roughly what your project involves.
Starting from scratch instead?
If you need a brand new site, I build on Squarespace and WordPress. My simple 4-page Squarespace website starts at £555.
Questions about website redesign
Can you redesign my existing Wix website?
Yes. I’ve overhauled Wix sites, including one that someone else had started and I completely redid.
Can you redesign my WordPress website?
Yes. WordPress is one of the platforms I work on most, for overhauls and for building new sites.
Do I have to move to Squarespace?
No. Sometimes moving is the best option and sometimes it isn’t. I’ll tell you which I think suits you.
Can you take over a website someone else started?
Yes. I regularly take on sites started by someone else, whether a friend, a partner or an earlier developer.
How much does a website redesign cost?
I charge £33.33 an hour. How long your site takes depends on what it needs, so we talk it through in your free consultation.
