Words are powerful. Contained within them are energies that bring forth a certain understanding or experience. Just like musical notes, how we weave them together creates a totally new vibration.

Writing copy that works (as in, the words do what you want them to do, such has help people understand, or sell a product) is totally different to say, writing a book.

One of the common mistakes I see from heart centred business owners is that they love words. Probably because they are so sensitive and they can feel the beautiful energies swirling around them.

The problem is, they love them so much they want to use all of them at the same time!

A little bit of word magic goes a long way.

When we use words powerfully we don’t need as many of them, and that is a good thing when it comes to websites and marketing. In a world that is flooded with information, we need to cut through the noise like a laser, so that we can be heard.

A bit like smudging your home!

Owning a website is like caring for a child or pet-they need loving attention to thrive. Your website is an extension of you. It is your online home! If done well, it will carry an energetic footprint that is connected to your consciousness, energy and purpose.

Just like your physical home it needs a regular tidy-up, a vase of flowers put on the table every now, a bit of Feng Shui and a good ole smudge to clear the stagnant energy.

Keep your website in a high vibration state so it attracts the right type of people.

I come in every now and then and give it a good spring clean! Make sure the links are working, erase spelling mistakes, add new images, change the copy a little, do some simple SEO optimisation and put things back into alignment.

Remember a time before social media? How did people talk to the world? They emailed! Email has stood the test of time and it’s still one of the most effective ways to communicate with your community.

According to one study, nearly 68 percent of teens and 73 percent of Millennials said they prefer to receive communication from a business via email. In addition, more than half rely on email to buy things online. So it looks like email is here to stay for a while longer anyway!

Email marketing is a skill. It isn’t like writing a story (although story telling is a wonderful way to share information.

A professional (and I don’t mean stuffy), well-worded email is well worth the time and effort.

Taking the time to make sure that your emails get sent out fully energised is essential. When they are packed to the brim with positively charged energy, they work for you.

I remember hearing the ‘your website is your online home’ analogy and my understanding about websites clicking into place.

I love analogies for that!

The home page is the front door. When we open it to our community (or tribe) where do we want them to go, what do we want them to feel? It’s our job as the perfect host, to guide and help them feel comfortable as quickly as possible.

When we take time to make our online visitors feel comfortable, they know they are home!
